Mary, Mary, Mary!!! We all know the Queen of Michigan, Mary Carlton, as the super successful equitation instructor. She has had endless World Champions in Saddle Seat, Hunt Seat, and Western Seat Equitation, not to mention the array of amateurs. The New England Morgan Committee has brought her to our convention to share her knowledge with us. Whether you are a rider, trainer, or a mother, she makes a clinic enlightening! There are going to be live clinics with horse and riders from our club.... Get up early and don't miss these great couple of hours!!!
New England Boasts SUCCESS - New England is saturated with GREAT trainers, instructors, and riders. We have brought home two AMHA Medal World Champions from 2009. Rachel Menard and Alexandria Warner won the Saddle Seat Medal and Hunt Seat Medal World championships respectively. These two girls are the idols of so many of our young riders and we are bringing them here for you to have an up-close look at their hard work and dedication in action. These two role models will be available for a Q and A after their demos.... Maybe your little one would like an autograph too?!?!?
Our Very Own Dr. JAY! Dr. Jay Merriam is going to take an hour and explain to us the benefits of acupuncture treatment in our Morgan Show Horses. We have probably all paid a vet bill or two for services we did not understand. Dr. Jay is going to enlighten us with a presentation about his services, when, where, why, and how it makes our horses happy, healthy, and sound!
Judging School for the Amateur - Here in New England we are also lucky to have two of the best Judging School teachers, Cindy Mungier and Harry Sebring. These two Professors are going to simulate what the Morgan world's judges are learning in the schools that run across the country. It is an eye opening experience to judge while being bound by a set of rules set forth by the AMHA. We have all sat on the sidelines and scolded a judge for tying a class the way he/she did, now you are being given an opportunity to understand "WHY" they did what they did!!
The one the only, the great MIKE GOEBIG!!!! This is a real treat! Mike Goebig is coming to New England to wow us with his talents as one of the most prominent horse trainers of our time. He is going to take us through what has made him so successful both with his World class horses and his unwavering support of the Morgan Industry.
ROUND TABLE DISCUSSIONS - Throughout the day we have presented some great minds on a series of different topics. Now we are bringing them together in an informal setting to talk about what YOU want to know. These discussions are a huge success at our AMHA conventions. We will have different experts discussing such topics as Hunter Pleasure, English Pleasure and Park, Western Pleasure, and MUCH, MUCH MORE! Bring your own suggestions, questions, and queries, and it will flourish from there!
